How to Install Commercial Light Up Trees: Step-by-Step Guide
How to Install Small Light Up Trees
Step 1 — Unboxing and component check
Open the packaging (wooden crate, iron box, or woven bag with foam padding) and lay out all components. Each tree consists of three parts: (A) the tree crown, (B) the trunk, and (C) the branches. Refer to the foundation guide below for the correct base installation method for small trees.
Step 2 — Foundation and trunk assembly
Install the foundation anchor according to the construction guide provided. Fit the trunk connector into the base, then secure with an M8 or M10 hex socket cap screw. Before connecting any wiring, wrap all box-to-pin connectors with electrical insulation tape to ensure a waterproof seal.
Step 3 — Branch installation and power-on test
Attach each branch to the trunk at the designated interface points. Wrap every branch connector joint with electrical tape for waterproofing. Once all branches are secured, measure the supply voltage before powering on. Refer to the product notice sheet for full operating instructions.
Important: At Steps 2 and 3, each box-to-pin connection must be wrapped with at least two full layers of electrical tape before tightening the screw nut. This double-wrap waterproof seal is critical — do not skip it.
Light Up Tree Branch Assembly Guide
Step 1 — Prepare components
Remove all accessories from the packaging and lay them out on a clean surface.
Step 2 — Attach flowering branches
Insert each flowering branch into its corresponding interface socket on the main branch. Secure firmly using the hex wrench or screwdriver provided.
Step 3 — Secure and waterproof
If the original screws do not tighten fully, replace them with the M4.2 self-tapping screws supplied by the factory and fix with an electric drill. Wrap the flowering branch interface joint with two layers of electrical tape. Wrap the box-to-pin connector with two layers of electrical tape.
Step 4 — Wiring checks
Tighten all connector nuts securely. If an entire flowering branch fails to light, reverse the box-to-pin connector orientation and test again. If the box-to-pin is damaged, cut it off, connect the positive and negative wires directly, and insulate with tape. If the branch still does not light after direct connection, reverse the two wires and test again.
Important: Always ensure connector nuts are fully tightened. Loose or unprotected connectors exposed to moisture will burn out. If a connector burns out, cut it off, connect the wires directly, and seal with tape.
How to Install Large Outdoor Light Up Trees (5M–10M)
Step 1 — Prepare the foundation
Before breaking ground, request the required foundation dimensions from Northyle for your specific tree model. For concrete floor installations: build a formwork box from timber boards to the specified dimensions, insert the embedded anchor plate, and pour concrete. Route the power cable out from the side of the concrete block — not through the top.
Step 2 — Trunk and connector assembly
Once the foundation has cured, mount the trunk base onto the embedded anchor. Secure the trunk connector using M8 or M10 hex socket cap screws. Proceed with branch installation, wrapping all box-to-pin connections with electrical insulation tape before connecting.
Step 3 — Grassland installation
For installations on grass or unpaved ground: dig a hole to the specified dimensions, pour a concrete base, and route the power cable out from the side. Alternatively, use percussion drilling to install ground anchors for the base plate. Select anchor length and cement block size according to the tree height and wind load requirements for your site.
Foundation notes:
- Match anchor and cement block dimensions to the tree height specified in your order
- Always route the power cable from the side of the concrete base, never from the top
- Reserve adequate space adjacent to the foundation for the distribution box
- Refer to the installation drawing supplied with your order for exact foundation dimensions
